Beautifully crafted all metal statue of Dr. Jivaka, also known as Dr. Shivago, the patron saint of Thai traditional medicine. An image of Jivaka is a standard part of any traditional Thai therapist's treatment room and honors the lineage of teachers who have fostered the art of traditional Thai healing. This statue is cast in a Thai foundry for Thai Bodywork in heavy nickel bronze, 7.5 inches tall and weighs 2 pounds 4 ounces. The details are very fine, and being handcrafted, each statue is subtly different. Statues of Dr. Jivaka are extremely hard to find in the west and difficult even in Thailand, and are generally not of this quality.
